Ovais is a Managing Director at The Abraaj Group and works within the global private equity team, with specific focus on Consumer and New Economy investments.

He has played an active role in the growth agenda of businesses such as Careem, Hepsiburada.com, Java House (East Africa’s leading casual dining restaurant business) and K-Electric. 

He is an alumni of the London School of Economics (LSE) and a member of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Future Council for Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
